Leonard Peltier Painting "Chief Black Bear" Online Auction

Greetings from the Leonard Peltier Defense Committee!

The LPDC is the center of communication between Leonard, his attorneys, support network, the media, family, and political organizations. The Defense Committee is maintained by personal donations, fundraisers, and grants which are used for overhead office expenses, legal fees, and to
organize special events, projects and campaigns. And although our lawyers donate their services, they can only do so much pro bono; we must raise the funds for the other associated costs with the legal campaign such as filings, depositions, copying and travel.

We would like to share with you a unique opportunity to not only benefit the LPDC but to become the proud owner of an original work of art by Leonard Peltier. Leonard's original oil paintings range in value from $2,500 to $15,000 and are owned by many noted personalities and concerned citizens from around the world. His paintings have more than doubled in value over the past 10 years - a sound investment and sure to become a cherished heirloom to pass on for generations to come.

The LPDC is pleased to announce the auctioning of "Chief Black Bear", Sioux Warrior and signer of the Laramie Treaty. This original oil was painted in 1994 and its dimensions are 16 x 20. This painting is available for bidding on Yahoo Auctions.

The auction will commence on Monday, March 14th and will end on Thursday, March 24th.
